Brief bio

I completed a BSc in Computer Science at Swansea University, where I wrote a dissertation on alternative modalities for smartphone volume control, as well as a smaller dissertation on the history of Computer Science in the Soviet Union. Wanting to diversify my portfolio, I went on to pursue an MA in Cyber Crime and Terrorism, during which I wrote a dissertation on how future terrorist organizations may use AI and how to counter such use. During this MA, I also completed an internship at the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT), a multi-stakeholder non-profit that hosts an online hash-sharing database of known terrorist content, enabling social media platforms to quickly identify and remove such material. I am currently working on a PhD project focused on bias engineering in large language models.
